I haven't written in a while and miss being able to put my thoughts together. This summer brought many new challenges and with it I was blessed to meet new people. Still having problems with my back but under good care. The first epidural steroid gave me 3 blessed days of no pain but the pain began to creep back in slowly, day by day. Al and I were able to take some time at the beach during my not so painful period. It was a wonderful get a way. We spent time with friends, family and food!
Those of you that know my son, Mason, will be happy to here he is back at work full time. It has been over a year since the accident and he is definitely a walking miracle!
Last week I needed to have some "Big Girl" surgery but I did very well and on the way to a full recovery. Will be good as new by the time school starts.
Yesterday I had my second epidural steroid injection. It was much more comfortable than the first. Another scheduled in 2 more weeks. Hoping to get some relief to begin the school year. I need to pick out a surgeon for the future so I can have this problem fixed, hopefully with minimally invasive surgery.
Feeling much better this morning. The windows are open and a nice breeze is stirring. I know they will be closed later today but it is a welcome break from air conditioning! Can take a walk to the garden and pick what is ripe today. Nothing like a garden; vegetable, fruits and/or flowers to get your day started. God's bounty ;-)
May God bless you all,
Kim
